Recommendation cleanup

How to hide Who to follow on X without changing your follows
Remove Who to follow recommendations from the X sidebar and timeline while leaving your follow graph and account settings untouched.
Who to follow appears in two different places
X commonly shows account recommendations in the desktop right rail and inserts another “Who to follow” module between posts. They look related but live in different parts of the page. Hiding the sidebar does not necessarily remove the inline version.
That distinction explains why a single ad-block rule often appears to work and then fails a few scrolls later. A complete cleanup needs one control for the outer rail and another for modules injected into the timeline.
Hide both recommendation surfaces
- 01Hide the right railThis removes the persistent desktop suggestion card together with trends and other sidebar modules.
- 02Hide inline modulesThis filters recognized recommendation blocks that appear between ordinary timeline cells.
- 03Scroll and verifyX loads modules lazily. Check several screens after enabling the setting so newly inserted cells are covered.
- 04Report unfamiliar wordingIf your X interface uses another label, send the exact phrase and language through the contact page.
What the setting does not change
The change is presentational and local. Turn the setting off and the modules return as X rendered them.
- It does not unfollow or block anyone.
- It does not alter the accounts visible on another device without the extension.
- It does not disable X search or profile pages.
- It does not send recommendation contents to XFeed servers.
Pair it with the Following timeline
Removing suggestion modules controls the interface, but the For you feed can still recommend posts. When you want a session limited to chosen accounts, switch to Following or open a List. XFeed is most useful when it complements those native controls rather than pretending to replace them.
Try the actual controls
Seven full days. No reduced mode.
Install XFeed Pro and use every feature immediately. After the trial, choose whether to buy the lifetime license.
